No more pour-on! - Why injectable controls are the new best options for managing parasites in cattle and pigs.

There are a hundred reasons why injectable solutions are so much more effective and wallet-friendly than traditional pour-on solutions, not to mention more effective in the fight against common parasites.

Injectables are a much more accurate form of control and prevention, since the risk of pour-on splashing off or not reaching the right area of the animal is completely removed.

They are also much safer for staff, by preventing workers from having to move around the crush, the chances of them being injured by stock is significantly reduced - as are the chances of getting chemical in an eye.

Bayer's Bomectin injection is a great option for those looking to control internal and external parasites in either cattle or pigs.  The ivermectin-based formula is effective in the control of:

  • Roundworms
  • Lungworms
  • Eyeworms
  • Sucking Lice
  • Mites
  • Cattle Ticks

Its powerful formula means that the amount required per animal is significantly less compared to pour-on options, so delivery, mobility and storage is easier.

Bomectin can be given to both pigs and cattle with a 28 day holding period.  Its administered at a rate of 1ml / 50kg for cattle and 1ml / 33kg pigs as a subcutaneous injection in the neck.

The Farm Co stocks Bayer Bomectin (500ml) for just $79.95 (save $30.05 off RRP!).  You can order online here, or call us on 1300 327 626.
